It’s fascinating place in Hokkaido, Japan that entices tourists from all over. The pond is actually a pool that was created by a dam that was constructed to protect from mudflows that might happen from the active volcano Mt. Tokachi.
Photographer Kent Shiraishi said the water holds high extents of aluminum hydroxide which imitates blue light. Shiraishi calls it the best beautiful pond in the world. Though the color of the water vagaries dependent on the time of the day and the weather, one thing is sure, its beauty definitely lives up to its image.
