These are the images of International Highline Meeting festival and it seems like one of the chilliest festivals one have ever heard of, but it also might be one of the most frightening, attendees pass most of their time looped up on tightropes stretched across the Italian Alps in Monte Piana. The attendees say themselves “slackers” because of the slacklines they equalize themselves on. This dangerous sport differs from tightrope walking in that the rope has a considerably flattened shaped and has slack, meaning that it can transfer side-to-side or bounce.
Besides the fact that the slackers pass a good part of their days (and nights) on slacklines deferred hundreds of feet above the Italian Dolomite Alps, the gathering has all the trappings of a normal event, a kitchen, a bar, and overwhelming musical jam sittings. Attendees can also join a Yoga session or take tandem paragliding trips.
